Important information about the flood protection project: A total of €10.5 million was invested in this project by the market municipality of Waldegg, the State of Lower Austria and the federal government to protect the population.

The Walzmühle is protected according to the HQ100 zone (100‑year flood). The buildings were not affected by the floods in recent years.
